PSA Peugeot Citroën Group needed to achieve greater standardisation, economies of scale, and realise cost savings across its European mobile networks.
In seeking to achieve standardisation, synergies and scale, PSA Peugeot Citroën liked the fact that Telefónica and its partners collaborated uniquely to deliver a responsive, single, unified offer for all countries, led by a central sales team. Encompassing a comprehensive solution covering 7,000 mobile lines, utilising both existing mobile operations in Spain and the Czech Republic, but also importantly by working in seamless partnership with KPN in the Netherlands, TMN in Portugal and Beeline in Ukraine.
PSA Peugeot Citroën wanted to leverage its scale across Europe, covering all companies in the Group, including: vehicle manufacturer PCA, the brands marketed by Peugeot Automobiles and Citroën Automobiles, GEFCO the logistics operator for the PSA Group, and Faurecia, the vehicle component manufacturer.
In addition, achieving greater standardisation and synergies of communication deployment. With an important focus on delivering economies of scale by reducing their suppliers to an optimum of two from a high of 16.
